On Extended Break

by lewwaters

Since I have been asked in email about not blogging recently, I feel it only fair to let y’all know that I have decided to take an extended break to reassess my political involvement.

Little doubt there will be some boasting of how they brought me down, but they are wrong.

My reason is two recent deaths in my family, my younger sister weeks ago and just days ago my favorite cousin are letting me know life is too short for petty bickering as seen with politics nowadays.

I’m just not sure it’s worth it.

We all need a Break, Mr. Madore

by lewwaters

Before going to bed last night, I was utterly speechless to see soon to be former County Councilor David Madore lashing out once again against his Republican opponent, John Blom. Although I lost what respect I once had for Madore, due to his personal actions against me, I didn’t realize what a sore loser he tends to be.

I guess last year’s fateful write-in effort running Liz Pike for the Council Chair position he lost should have been a tip-off.

Waking up this morning, though, I see Mr. Madore, either by a little well applied common sense or that someone slapped him upside the head with a reality check, decided to delete the smearing post against John Blom, posted below and announcing that he intends to take a break until August 15.

Back Home

by lewwaters

Got back home yesterday afternoon and still tired, exhausted would be more accurate. Enjoyed being in San Antonio and elsewhere, but as was said in the movie, there’s no place like home.

I did spend two days in Peidras Negras Mexico and surprisingly, witnessed no problems at this particular border crossing. That doesn’t mean other locations do not experience them, but for whatever reason, this particular one is not.

It’s good being back home and now, as I rest up, will get back up to s peed on the primary elections. I listed just a few at the top of the sidebar to the right of those I support and will be looking closer into adding more.
