Protesting is Good, Now

by lewwaters

Funny thing about the words spoken in the video, and if you note the exclusion of a major group of protesters in it, the stated attitude did not seem to apply when a mixed group of Conservatives, Liberals and Independents joined together nationwide in 2009 to protest Obamacare.

That’s right, the group known as the TEA Party (Taxed Enough Already) was ridiculed, lambasted, labeled racist (as nearly any disagreement with Obama was for 8 years) and marginalized often by the media, including our own Lazy C.

Outrageous and Uncalled for

by lewwaters

It’s no secret that I did not support Donald Trump nor did I support Hillary Clinton. But what is seen in the following video must not be tolerated.

WARNING! GRAPHIC VIOLENCE

This reportedly happened in Chicago and it is reported that Police are investigating, but no arrests to date are reported. The elderly man is said to have been hospitalized and his car stolen by the thugs, that has not been recovered.

UPDATED: George Zimmerman Charged with Second Degree Murder. Can He Receive a Fair Trial?

by lewwaters

UPDATE: George Zimmerman voluntarily surrendered to authorities where he faces charges of second degree murder in this case. However, watching the video of the news conference held by Florida Special Prosecutor, Angela Corey causes me to question the objectivity of this case. At the beginning of her news conference Ms. Corey is heard to say, “Just moments ago, we spoke by phone with Sabrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. It was less than 3 weeks ago that we told those sweet parents that we would get answers to all of their questions, no matter where our quest for the truth led us. And it is the search for justice for Trayvon that has brought us to this moment…”

Some 44 days after claiming self defense in the shooting death of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin, and after weeks of media distortion and hype, race baiting marches and news conferences by race hucksters Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson resulting in calls for reparation and a human rights investigation by the United Nations, Barack Obama chiming in and US Attorney General Eric Holder promising to review the case, news from the special prosecutor Florida’s governor appointed to the case is that Zimmerman will be charged later today.

Exactly what the charges are to be has not been announced yet. It is thought to be some degree of manslaughter.

At issue now is whether or not Zimmerman will be able to receive a fair trial, given the emotionally charged public outrage whipped up by media and race hucksters.

A 2009 mirror case in New York, where they do not have a “stand your ground” law resulted in the acquittal of Roderick Scott, the 40 year-old Black man who shot and killed the 17 year-old White man, Chris Cervini that he felt was breaking into cars and who he claimed lunged toward him, resulting in a “self defense” shooting.

Cervini’s family maintains the 17 year old was shot in the back and Scott “got away with murder.”

But, that case did not draw race hucksters, or the United Nations or even Barack Obama’s attention.

Reality Bites For Protesters Too

by lewwaters

For days now I have been watching and speaking of how the Occupy anything but a bar of soap movement is doomed to fall apart, just as we saw back in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Pie in the sky dreams of a socialist utopia come crashing down on the bleeding heart feel gooders when they are smacked right between the eyes with the reality of the world and those in it who think they shouldn’t have to work or carry their portion of the load.

We are beginning to see it in Occupy Portland as reports of discontent and unsanitary conditions are literally leaking out and running down the street.

People in California and other states are getting fed up with cries of protesters having constitutional rights while infringing on the constitutional rights of others to live in a peaceful community and freely use the public lands protesters have decided are theirs to hold instead. In Oakland, some found out the hard way that confronting the Police who are charged with restoring law & order is not conducive to freedom, much less their health.

In Portland, who decided in “incorporate” their movement is raising eyebrows as some $10,000 in donations seems to be missing now.
