Battle Ground Holds First Memorial Day Commemoration

by lewwaters

The City of Battle Ground, Washington is to be commended for their somber and respectful Memorial Day ceremony.

As it should be, the focus was placed on those from the community that made the ultimate sacrifice.

No political grandstanding, no shout outs to elected officials or candidates for office, just respectful reading of the names by council members and somber poems by Mayor Philip Johnson.

Playing of taps concluded the ceremony.

Excellent job, Battle Ground.

  1. Here is an article about a soldier whom fought the establishment’s WW2 use of secret mustard gas regime…. http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2016/05/30/479975975/wwii-veteran-who-fought-to-expose-secret-mustard-gas-experiments-dies

  2. Stories of the VA screwing with Veterans is hardly breaking news. It’s being reported almost daily.

Still, that has little to do with the City of Battle Ground holding a commemoration to honor those that died fighting for our freedoms.

  3. No, I was wrong to post that on the subject when it really has no bearing to the subject you were speaking of… I only posted it because I was shocked that Mustard Gas was used in WW2.. Its just been not known by me…
