Lefty Lou, Thankful but Worried?

by lewwaters

Brancaccio FiatAfter Lefty’s usual token Thanksgiving editorial and the praise of his beautiful daughter, we see nothing of any real value. He should have stuck with praising his daughter and just left it at that.

But that is not Lefty as he tries to convince what few readers he still has of his relevancy. A relevancy he seems worried about.

I say worried because of you drop down to the end of his screed you read, “It’s true, we don’t have as many print readers as we used to. But when you include our social media numbers, it’s actually pretty close.”

It doesn’t dawn on him that delivering such an inferior product as we see daily in the Lazy C, many former readers have left seeking objective, balanced reporting elsewhere, no longer buying the paper he writes for and manages.

Where’s the CCGOP A-Team?

by lewwaters

Dems, Shooting own footNow that the elections are over and I am sticking to my former position of letting this new Clark County GOP carry the ball, since they engaged in a months long smear of me and this blog for exposing their dirty, underhanded tactics as well as deemed this blog “irrelevant,” I can’t help but notice besides blustering how they swept the elections due to their “reforms,” where are they now on daily matters of importance the Lazy C ignores?

While they boast “Instead of just hanging 50 signs per square mile and writing a lot of comments on Facebook and blogs that only preach to a very small choir, this version of the CCRP is employing a ‘ground game,’ where are they informing people of what is happening?

Opposition to the Oil Terminal grows, there was a forum held at the Library on climate change, Inslee is talking of increasing taxes and implementing his “green” program, light rail from Portland is again being discussed and more.

For Election Results

by lewwaters

I VotedI won’t be posting on results this evening as I will be away from my computer most of the evening. But, links below are being provided where you can read the results of local and state races as they are released. Results should be released after 8 pm.

For local results: http://results.vote.wa.gov/results/current/clark/

State and Congressional results: http://results.vote.wa.gov/results/current/

However the elections go this evening, we better begin remembering we are all Americans and ignore the efforts of bitter division separating us. We will never agree on everything nor should we. But the bitter battles and “my way or the highway” mentality seen far too long needs to come to a screeching halt, if we are to survive.

Good luck to all.

Two More Reasons Not To Vote for Craig Pridemore

by lewwaters

Alycia Nipp and Anna Svidersky.

Many may not remember or may be unaware, but in early 2009, a 13-year old girl was brutally stabbed to death by a level III repeat sex offender in Hazel Dell. Her name was Alycia Nipp.

The murder happened just a few blocks from my home and being a father myself of daughters, it hit close to home.

I shot off correspondence to every state official from Clark County demanding stricter sentencing and handling of these repeat offenders.
