Referring back to the smear effort against me of late over exposing the secretive effort of Christian Berrigan to selectively “create a situation where THEY OFFER to withdraw,” the utter hypocrisy of the effort and the subsequent smear is evident in an interview of Berrigan when he ran for WSRP Chair last year.
You can view the full interview at Victory Girls, a blog that I have the utmost respect for.
VG: What will you do to combat the corruption and back room dealings so prevalent in the WSRP and RLCWA?
CB: First and foremost, be intolerant of it when it occurs. Culturally, educate our party leaders as to how that kind of activity demoralizes, deflates and discourages our grassroots. Show them examples of how some of our best people get alienated when they are treated unfairly. Demonstrate how fair play makes defeat more palatable, and makes it easier for people to cooperate after a loss. Systemically, codify reforms into our state bylaws where appropriate, and encourage counties to take similar action appropriate to them. Personally, I will not tolerate the temptation to use power or position to manipulate an outcome. Our intra-party battles must be waged on a level playing field or we will continue to alienate members and thereby destroy ourselves.
How can Berrigan claim his own effort was not the very thing he claims we must be “intolerant” of when he included in his original email, “Do not talk about this email. Do not forward this email?”
And, for my being “intolerant” of it, I become the subject of an extreme smear job by extremists?
How is the trumping up a conspiracy by the very party he had hoped to sit at the top of to cover his secretive effort not be “alienating?”
How does he ignore that it is his effort that “demoralizes, deflates and discourages our grassroots?”
Is this really how the Clark County Republican Party should act?
