Jim Moeller’s Foggy Diversion

by lewwaters
Jim Moeller

Jim Moeller

Good old Jim “sue your constituents to invalidate their votes” Moeller (D. Portland/Vancouver), ever the narcissist, is a master at diversion to make others look bad, while minimizing how he and those he aligns himself with may personally benefit off of the public’s money.

Second to none in arrogance, we have seen Jim put off projected in excess of $1 Billion budget gap to push through homosexual marriage, denying he would take advantage of it himself, successfully joined in a lawsuit to invalidate the vote of constituents and others in the state who have 5 times voted in a 2/3 majority requirement for the legislature to increase our taxes, worked diligently to strap Clark County citizens with higher taxes, increased license fees, tolls, increased gas prices and much more to force acceptance of Portland, Oregon’s financially troubled light rail and more, all the while portraying himself as some sort of ‘watchdog’ for the public good.

When it was revealed earlier this year of legislators writing off the expense to dry clean their clothes to taxpayers while in session Moeller was quoted saying, “dry cleaning is similar to other items [I] can expense, such as food or lodging, while the Legislature’s in session,” adding he considers what he wears during session as “his uniform.”

Environuts Discussed “Violence” at Saturday’s “Peaceful” Protest

by lewwaters

Ever the “peaceful protesters,” or so they would have you believe, discussions of the use of violence were captured at the Saturday anti-coal protest held at Vancouver Landing.

Environuts Protest Fossil Fuel Aboard ‘Chartered’ Fossil Fuel Yachts

by lewwaters

From the Saturday July 27 2013 fossil fuel protest in Vancouver, Washington organized by the FART’s* (Floating Affluent Recycling Tyrants).

From the description under the video;

Published on Jul 28, 2013 Dateline Sunday July 28, 2013 – Portland Oregon: “How Much Is Enough!?!?” asks Jill MacIntyre Witt, a former Occupier and Certified Presenter for Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project. This shortly after she is caught on tape accepting deliveries and mowing down copious amounts of food aboard “The Gallant,” a private yacht which was one of at least three that participated in yesterday’s environmental extremist protest in Portland Oregon and Vancouver Washington. One of the yachts can be seen in the video spewing diesel fumes and oil pollution into the water. The copious amounts of food were chauffeured to the event by gasoline powered taxicab, and delivered directly to the anxiously awaiting “limousine liberals,” complete with several bouquets of roses. “Down and out” hipsters who were down for the struggle were apparently on the guest list can be seen arriving for the event. A solid four minutes of “hashtag” hypocrisy of the Left. The event was put on by the environmental extremist group “Rising Tide,” and titled “Pacific Northwest Says NO to fossil fuel exports!” Enjoy.

Acerbic Editor, John Laird, Pens Final Editorial

by lewwaters

Laird GargamelJohn Laird, the vitriolic, extreme left-wing liberal hatemonger editorial page editor at the Lazy C posts his final column today, sure to please decent citizens of Southwest Washington, no longer to be subjected to his heavily biased efforts at denigrating and demeaning any and everybody that refuses to follow his delusional rants lock-step.

We at Clark Conservative (me) present John Laird with this parting image from all of us “Hounds of Whinerville,” “Ankle Biters,” “Cockroaches,” “Banana (build absolutely nothing anywhere near anything)” and “Political Piranhas” with the audacity to think for ourselves and not fall prey to the “Texas Rejects” efforts to verbally strong arm us into rolling over and allow ourselves to be steamrolled by every piece of liberal insanity he promoted.

Environuts Assemble to Block Jobs in Vancouver

by lewwaters

Mia RebackAs seen in this video by Oregon conservative Dan Sandini, bleeding heart environuts traveled by fossil fueled bus and cars to launch kayaks manufactured in part from fossil fuels to protest using fossil fuels. The environuts are complaining about Clark County Washington hopefully pulling ourselves out of this deep unemployment we have been in for over four years by building a facility to export Montana’s crude oil.

The Lazy C supplied their own spin, but Sandini’s video speaks better. Protesters harassed Sandini and tried to stop him from taping their “public” event, but he succeeded.

Rapeller’s illegally rappelling from the bridge were scolded and asked not to do it again, receiving some serious finger wagging and tongue lashing I hope.

Comparing Ho Chi Minh to America’s Founders is a Slap in the Face

by lewwaters

Ho Chi MinhI don’t know whether Barack Obama is as clueless as he comes across or if he honestly thinks sucking up to a Communist regime will somehow improve his dismal performance in the Oval Office, but comparing a brutal dictator like Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh is a slap in the face to every American, especially to those of us who actually served in Vietnam during Ho’s reign of terror.

Standing alongside current Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, Obama recently said, “At the conclusion of the meeting, President Sang shared with me a copy of a letter sent by Ho Chi Minh to Harry Truman. And we discussed the fact that Ho Chi Minh was actually inspired by the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and the words of Thomas Jefferson. Ho Chi Minh talks about his interest in cooperation with the United States. And President Sang indicated that even if it’s 67 years later, it’s good that we’re still making progress.”

Anybody who believes communism and our Declaration of Independence have anything in common is sadly mistaken.

Standing Strong For the People, Not Special Interests

by lewwaters

June 2011, Vancouver City Council member Jeanne E Stewart was the lone Council Member standing up for citizens to have a vote on operations & maintenance of light rail, that we were eventually “permitted” in late 2012.

We need more elected officials standing with citizens, not those hand selected by downtown special interests to support their agenda over the citizens.

Where has homosexual activist Ty Stober or inexperienced, athletic Alisha Topper ever stood up for all Vancouver Citizens?

Election 2013: Vancouver City Council Pos. 1

by lewwaters

Vote 1Continuing in my assessment of Vancouver, Washington City Council candidates in the 2013 election, the final race is Position 1, currently held by Jack Burkman who is being challenged by Otto M. Guardado, Micheline Doan and Brian Joseph Smith.

For some reason unknown to me, the Position 1 race has not risen to the level of attention that has been directed at the other two seats being challenged, but is just as important on the 7-member city council.

Again, in no particular order of preference;

Election 2013, Vancouver City Council Pos. 2: “Why Are You Running?”

by lewwaters

Three candidates for Vancouver City Council Position 2 answer, “Why Are You Running?”

Of the three, Alisha Topper, Ty Stober and incumbent Jeanne E. Stewart, only Ms. Stewart expresses a desire to actually represent the people.

Code words of “end divisiveness” “work together” and such are indicative of what we do not wish for the city council, a lock-step attitude that places special interests promoted by the downtown mafia, Identity Clark County and hopes of breathing new life into the CRC light rail project we citizens have opposed for some time now and have been ignored.

Clearly, the Lazy C got it dead wrong when they wrote of Ms. Stewart’s “enthusiasm for the job on the wane.”

It’s your choice, Vancouver. So choose wisely.

Concerts for a Cause ~ The Cause is 4 Vets

by lewwaters

Vet Camas Dog Tag 4 Summer was a little late coming this year, but it is here and with it come our summer activities. Swimming, hiking, sprucing up our yards or what have you, we get outside, shake off the winter doldrums and enjoy the summer.

Along with our personal activities come community events where we choose to gather around a common theme, compare our labors or just enjoy some fine entertainment, often for a small admission price to fund a favored charity.

We in the Pacific Northwest are very fortunate as we have an abundance of extremely talented people who lend their talents to causes in benefit of others and put on some great shows. We also have some really great causes they choose to get behind and support.

Regular readers know of this blog’s strong support of the Clark County Veterans Court that assists deserving Veterans with readjusting from war footing back into civilian society by promoting events organized in support of the Veterans Court.

A History Lesson for Rep Jim Moeller

by lewwaters

In typical Rep. Jim “sue your constituents to invalidate their votes,” Moeller (D. Portland/Vancouver) fashion, once again he shows his total lack of knowledge in encouraging a boycott of the coming Moscow Winter Olympics for Russia’s stand on homosexuals.

Moeller, Olympics Boycott

For Jim’s information, 1974 was the year Richard Nixon resigned in disgrace and Gerald Ford became president, only to be defeated by Jimmy Carter in the 1976 election.

Carter was inaugurated in January 1977.

He initiated a boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, not over “basic civil rights,” but due to Russia’s invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 to urge them to leave the country, which they did not do until 1989, some 10 years later.

That boycott failed and saw the Soviet Union boycott the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles out of revenge.

Either Moeller is ignorant of historical facts, which is very likely, or more likely is another liberal trying to rewrite history to suit his pro-homosexual agenda since the facts are easily found: http://history.state.gov/milestones/1977-1980/Olympic

UPDATED: Why Politics Is Called A Blood Sport

by lewwaters

Brass KnucklesOnce again we see confirmation of the old Aneurin Bevan quote, “Politics is a Blood Sport” in the Vancouver City Council campaign for position 3, currently held by Jeanne Harris.

While it is clear that the Lazy C is going to throw their support wholly behind newcomer, Galina Burley, evidenced by their usual reporting more favorable over other candidates, including the other candidate endorsed in this primary, challenger Anne McEnerny Ogle.

Burley, along with the challengers in the position 2 position currently held by Jeanne E. Stewart are both heavily supported by downtown special interests, Identity Clark County members, Democrat Party members, all strong supporters of the Columbia River Crossing light rail project that by all appearances, they hope to soon resurrect.

Trayvoning of America

by lewwaters

Trayvon SkittlesOne thing we know the left is masters at is creating new words that make the rights effort out to be overbearing, dumb, ridiculous and to demean our traditional values at any cost.

For example, when we stood up as a ‘Tea Party’ movement, they swiftly labeled us as “Teabaggers,” knowing the word was a code word for a homosexual practice that most of us had never heard of. The steady use of it ended up demeaning our efforts and the willing lamestream media readily joined in.

The Tea Party movement today is a mere shadow of what we started out to be.

We now see the left spreading hysteria across the country over the acquittal of neighborhood watch captain, George Zimmerman for the self defense shooting death of 17-year old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida as protests broke out almost immediately and invoking the name of the youth, even though not one of those out in the streets crying and whining over have a clue who or what he was or may have been.

An Acquittal, Race-Baiting and Lynch Mob Hysteria

by lewwaters

Lynching 3It comes as little surprise to see George Zimmerman acquitted of the charges of second degree murder and manslaughter in the shooting of Trayvon Martin in Florida last year. From day one, the evidence to support such an allegation just wasn’t there and none presented during the trial did anything to disprove Zimmerman’s claims.

My initial concerns of him receiving a fair trial were in the forefront of my thoughts during the trial, seeing many from the judge going in favor of the prosecution, but in the end, justice prevailed and Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges.

At least, in a court of law he was acquitted. A heavily biased media whipped the Black Community and Liberals into a frenzy since they first made the case national news, editing audio to make Zimmerman sound racist, portraying Martin as an innocent 12 year-old simply buying Skittles and even trying to portray Zimmerman as White, changing that label to White Hispanic when his true ethnicity came out.

Election 2013: Vancouver City Council Position 2

by lewwaters

Vote 1Continuing in an assessment of candidates vying for Vancouver, Washington City Council, Position 2 now merits a look.

Position 2 is currently held by Jeanne E. Stewart, undoubtedly the single most centrist person sitting on the council. She is being challenged by 2 political novices, Alisha Topper and Ty Stober, both relatively unknown.

Admittedly, neither of the candidates has reached out to me as did others I have blogged about, but I have talked with Ms. Stewart in the past. My views of her challengers are based upon their web sites and news articles.

Again, in no order of preference,

UPDATED: Partisan / Nonpartisan Hackery at the Lazy C

by lewwaters

Columbian FishwrapThe political bias of the Lazy C, the Columbian newspaper has been established several times on this blog and others. In spite of that, Editor Lou Brancaccio still tries the spin that they are not biased and in fact are “friend to nobody.”

We know that is not truthful as all we have to do is look over the many years they promoted the now defunct Columbia River Crossing light rail project while diligently working to hide and cover-up many negatives, if no marginalize them.

They are well known to be little more than a daily newsletter for the Democrat Party and once again, we see their blind partisanship glaring at us from the front page of the Sunday, July 7, 2013 edition with the article Political parties take increasingly active role in nonpartisan elections.

Happy Independence Day

by lewwaters

Fireworks 2I hope all are enjoying this Independence Day with family & friends. Whether you are barbecuing in your backyard, going to the Fort, enjoying the Veterans Court Cruise-in/concert or taking advantage of any of the events scheduled today, enjoy yourselves.

As for me, since some of you do not have facebook accounts, my Independence Day is recuperating from surgery Tuesday morning on a very sensitive part of my body. Nothing life threatening, but painful and leaving me taking oxycodone for a few days.

Everything seems to be mending just fine, so I should be back to normal in a few days and will resume blogging more then.

Enjoy your fireworks or just being those you care about.

We have a great country that we will get back on track.
