Reaching Out To Liberals

by lewwaters

We always hear how we should reach out to our liberal ‘friends’ and seek common ground, how we need to stop the vitriol and mean-spirited attacks, even though they are slashing our throats, bankrupting us and wanting to control our lives when they cannot even manage their own.

So in that spirit of coming together and finding commonality with liberals, I present the following post election poem that I was sent.

The election is over, the talk is done
My party lost, your party won

So let us be friends
Let arguments pass

I’ll hug my elephant
You kiss your ass

  4. Classy Jack! I guess if someone disagrees with you just give up all hope, eh? This country founded in rebellion but built on compromise and negotiation. The Constitutional Conventions were all about compromise. If you were there we would still be using the Articles of Confederation….and that didn’t works so well.

  5. Still waiting on Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and others to compromise, Mike.

Maybe we could start with Jim Moeller and Ed Murray in Olympia?

Compromise does not mean one side always cave to the other nor does it mean the middle must always be favoring Democrats

  8. It’s more interesting to see those who won by a slim margin thinking they delivered a “crushing defeat” and now have a “mandate” to steamroll the country into communism.

Funniest part, Schuyler, even Pravda has been publishing how America screwed itself royally.

They’ve been where we’re headed and saw it wasn’t worth it.

  9. “President Bush proclaimed his election as evidence that Americans embrace his plans to reform Social Security, simplify the tax code, curb lawsuits and fight the war on terror, pledging Thursday to work in a bipartisan manner with ‘everyone who shares our goals.'”

Bush staked his claim to a broad mandate and announced his top priorities at a post-election news conference, saying his 3.5 million vote victory had won him political capital that he would spend enacting his conservative agenda.

“I earned capital in this campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it,” Bush told reporters. “It is my style.”

  10. Uh, Schuyler, in case someone for got the tell you, Bush isn’t president, hasn’t been for 4 years now.

But here, I’ll give you some examples of what Pravda is saying.

April 27, 2009 saw American capitalism gone with a whimper that contained, “The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.”

November 7, 2012 they ran an article, The Reason Obama is President with the claim in it, “The communists won while Americans smoked pot.”

November 13, 2012 they ran The Democrat Embrace Of Fascism saying, “the road to fascism present day America is taking and it’s only being accelerated by a delusional love affair with President, Barack Obama.”

Let’s do try to get up to speed on today.
