Debt Limit Increase Met Herrera Beutler’s Three Criteria

by lewwaters

Jaime voted for increasing the debt limit, along with several other Democrats and Republicans, against the wishes of the Tea Party. She said it “wasn’t an easy vote for me.”

Okay, but it seems to me she voted for the other proposals Boehner put forth that also raised the debt limit.

Listening to her explanation above, I can understand the first two criteria she outlines. But, for the life of me, I don’t understand how raising the debt puts a down payment on our staggering debt or how overspending is addressed by more increased spending.

I have never been able to balance my checkbook like that.

If the Chinese can get it, why can’t our congress?

“The only way the Americans have come up with to improve economic growth has been to take on new loans to repay the old ones. To eat May’s grain in April, however, will never be a permanent solution to a problem,” the official Xinhua news agency said.

  1. Wow, Lew. To top it all off, Kathy Dustbin of The Columbian calls Jaime: ” a bedrock conservative”. The exact quote is: “For the first time since Republican Linda Smith won the seat in 1994, the 3rd is represented by a bedrock conservative”.

Apparently the people down at the local laundromat bulletin board are smoking something really “funny”. Maybe the Cops will investigate them.

  2. Jack, it’s just that the political parameters have shifted so far left, a moderate RINO is considered conservative today.

Jaime is no conservative, any more than she is a Tea Party favorite.

Not the real Tea Party, anyways.

This watered down infiltrated by the Bellevue Mafia imitation we have here would consider her theirs, as we saw.

Herrera Beutler owns this fiasco just as much as the rest.

  3. I think The Columbian is just that far out-of-touch, Lew. They apparently live in a fantasy-world.

  4. Honestly, I was shocked by the pieces I read by Ms. Durbin over the past two weeks in relation to Jaime. It seems she does not understand the basic dynamics of Olympia OR Washington DC for that matter.

A lot of this article uses a lot of language that has no meaning in Clark County at all. A lot of labeling and posturing but seriously, does Jaime actually say some thing serious?

I beg to wonder if this nice spread of news articles is just not another attempt to make her look good for an election some time in late 2012. It looks more and more to me like the newspaper is just buttering her up to make her more palatable so that they can own her later.

Honestly, I want truth, I want facts and thoughtful discourse in those articles. All I see is just the plain opposite.
