Romney, The Only Choice

by lewwaters

Within the next 48 hours we should know who the next president will be. In spite of there being multiple choices on the ballot, it boils down to Republican Mitt Romney or Democrat Barack Obama who has led the country deeper into oblivion this last 4 years and currently trying to tell us how much better off we are.

Regular readers know that Mitt Romney was not my first choice, but he is who has prevailed through the primary elections and tedious process to come out ahead of several others as the countries choice to face Obama.

Throughout the process, Romney has articulated a different approach from that of Obama and the Democrats, one that I firmly believe will turn the country around and get us back on track to solvency and prosperity. One that will actually begin lowering the burgeoning unemployment rate we have seen over the last 4 years.

Obama came to office with high promises of “Hope & Change” and has failed. The Hope is gone, replaced by despair, higher unemployment than when he took office, more people dependent upon food stamps than ever before and a national debt increase in 4 years higher than any other president added in 8 years.

Romney: “Real Change From Day One”

by lewwaters

Obama promised “hope & change.” What we got was hoping to have a little change left. Things may have been pretty bad when he took office, but his every move has made everything much worse.

Mitt Romney, admittedly not my original first choice to replace Obama offers real change from day one.

More Liberal ‘Civility’ With A Healthy Dose of Heterophobia

by lewwaters

A sickening new ad bashing Republicans.

WARNING!! Very graphic video

This sort of over the top misrepresentation must be stood up to. While liberals are well known for crying they want civility, this is what they offer in return.

This is not what we need in today’s America and represents everything that is wrong in America.
The only way to counter this sick attack is to vote for Mitt Romney and oust these sick in the head liberals from public office.

This is not what America is about.

Was Obama Sleeping During The Debate?

by lewwaters

As the dust settles and Democrats cry in their beer, everyone now knows that without his teleprompter, Barack Obama is lost. His performance in Wednesday Evenings Debate in Denver was one of the worst performances by an incumbent president ever. It is being reported that 67% of viewers gave the debate to Mitt Romney who in effect, cleaned Obama’s clock.

Even Democrats are coming our disappointed. Bombastic James Carvell said, “Mitt Romney came with a chainsaw.”

Chris Matthews, a staunch Obama supporter didn’t feel that tingle up his leg watching the debate. Instead, he admonished Obama to start watching cable TV to learn what is going on.

Michael Moore nearly came unglued on twitter saying at one point, “This is what happens when u pick John Kerry as your debate coach.”

Andrew Sullivan labeled the debate “a disaster” for Obama.

We’ve heard it all before, Barack

by lewwaters

Can we take another 4 years of Obama’s failures? He only proposes more of what he promised in 2008 and not one thing he proposed then helped.

Veterans Obama Met With in Portland, Or. Admit It Was a Set-up

by lewwaters

Pool photos/Getty

As I stated in my post, Obama Stages an ‘Unscheduled’ Visit With 3 Veterans in Portland, the “unscheduled,” coincidental meet between Barack Obama and 3 area Veterans was indeed “scheduled.”

All three have now admitted to the Oregonian newspaper that “On Tuesday morning, all three met with a staffer and were driven to the restaurant and arrived shortly before Obama. The three said the restaurant workers and other patrons received notice only a few minutes before the president arrived.”

Also admitted, “All have connections to the Obama reelection campaign and were presumably chosen for good political reasons.”

There is no problem with Obama meeting one on one with any Veteran, but trying to portray it as a circumstantial meeting, just something that happened because Obama is a “regular” guy who mingles with the common folk when it was actually a pre-arranged meeting is deceitful.

Obama Stages an ‘Unscheduled’ Visit With 3 Veterans in Portland

by lewwaters

UPDATE: All 3 Veterans have admitted to the Oregonian newspaper to “have connections to the Obama reelection campaign and were presumably chosen for good political reasons.”

What a guy that Barack Obama is, we would be led to believe. Taking time out of his busy golfing schedule to campaign for Millions of dollars in donations across the country and when visiting Portland, Oregon yesterday, July 24, 2012, just happened to stop at a little out of the way Breakfast Restaurant for a quick bite while on his way to lunch and just happened to run into and sit down with 3 Veterans who also just happened to be in the restaurant for the very first time, it turns out.

Pool photos/Getty

All just by coincidence, we are supposed to believe.

Ignore that wherever a President intends to visit, it inspected days in advance by agents of the Secret Service who also sweep the place moments before they enter and hold everybody there once he arrives until he leaves.

No, just ignore all of the Standard Operating Procedures to believe that Obama, trying desperately to appear like just a regular guy, as his poll numbers amongst Veterans continues sliding, just happened to stumble into such a prime setting to counter challenger Mitt Romney’s speaking before the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Reno, Nevada.

Television, radio and print media were all a gushing over Obama’s happenchance meeting Tuesday with the 3 Vets he coincidentally ran into at Portland’s Gateway Breakfast House on Halsey.

But, a closer look shows it probably was not so coincidental after all.

If It Isn’t “Amnesty, Immunity Or A Path To Citizenship,” What Is It?

by lewwaters

June 15, 2012, not exactly a “day that will live in infamy,” but an ignominious day just the same as Barack Obama, apparently believing he is a King or Dictator and not an elected temporary leader, took upon himself to completely ignore the will of the American people and Congress by declaring certain illegal aliens under the age of 30 will no longer be deported.

That citizens have been opposed and congress has voted against such moves towards amnesty have been completely ignored as Obama stated,

“This is not amnesty. This is not immunity. This is not a path to citizenship. It’s not a permanent fix.”

It isn’t a “fix” at all and contrary to what he says, it is indeed amnesty and immunity. What else could it be but amnesty and immunity?

Democrats pulled this nonsense back in 1986 when Republican Ronald Reagan was president, blaming the failure on him and not accepting any responsibility themselves, even though they wrote it and passed it as Democrats held majorities in both the House and Senate.

Expected to lessen illegal immigration, it had the opposite effect as now others saw that our laws mean nothing and there would be no enforcement and eventually, if they waited it out, they too would be declared immune to our laws.

Obama Campaign Continues to Slam Romney Governor’s Term, Ignoring Obama’s Term

by lewwaters

Not unexpected, but the New York Times has an article out New Obama Ad Continues Focus on Romney’s Term as Governor

As we saw in 2008, the media wants no part in looking at Obama’s record or past, just those who oppose him.

The Democrats ad claims,

“When Mitt Romney was governor, Massachusetts lost 40,000 manufacturing jobs. And fell to forty-seventh in job creation. Fourth from the bottom.”

Mitt Romney was the Massachusetts governor from January 2, 2003 to January 4, 2007 which is also a period when Democrats were claiming how bad everything in the country was under President George W. Bush and making all sort of wild claims of how it was so unbearable and only they could fix it.

They successfully seized all congressional power in the 2006 election and took over both houses of congress in January 2007. Although we might expect some media attention to how the Democrats have spearheaded the country’s economy, we have come to see it will not happen as they supply cover for the Democrats. So I will do what an unwilling media refuses to do.

As Goes Wisconsin, So Will The Rest of America?

by lewwaters

Well, tomorrows the big day in Wisconsin. Unions successfully called for and gathered signatures to form a recall of Republican Governor Scott Walker even though his measures of reform have improved the economy of the state.

As has been previously shown, West Coast States did not fare well in recent rankings for business friendliness, California remaining unchanged at dead last, Oregon slipping into the ten worst list with Washington State not far behind, also slipping a few spots.

Wisconsin on the other hand seems headed in the right direction as Wisconsin has shown a 4 point improvement, moving up to number 20 from the previous position of number 24.

But, as we have seen for some time, expecting public unions to “share the sacrifice” and “pay their fair share” is not in their cards as they launched massive protests, occupations of public buildings and generally made complete asses out of themselves.

So the recall moves ahead, ignoring their state has improved with the little tweaks favored by Governor Walker.

But, it all could blow up in their faces as it is very likely Governor Walker will be retained by voters who enjoy having jobs and keeping a little more of their paychecks.

Delegate Vote Challenge in the 18th District Rebutted

by lewwaters

It comes as no surprise that the legal challenge launched, seeking the voiding of the delegates chosen in the 2012 Clark County GOP convention for the 18th Legislative District, amid allegations of irregularities and fraud was not well received by same, most notably the Ron Paul supporters who came out in the majority on delegates and face the danger of not being seated in the State GOP Convention to be held in Tacoma.

As I showed in the previous post, Delegate Vote Challenged, 18th District Could Lose All GOP Delegates, supporters of candidate Mitt Romney were not pleased with the convention outcome and have cried foul to the WSRP, launching the effort to void the delegates selected in the 18th Legislative District.

In a continuance of the exceptional organizational skills seen in Paul’s supporters, that was used to discover the weaknesses in the system and legally exploit them to their advantage, Washington state co-chair for the Ron Paul campaign and Clark County Delegation Chair, Katja Delavar has fired back, along with her husband, former Washougal City Council Member Michael Delavar both drafting their own rebuttals to the challenge and to be sent to the WSRP, here and here.

Delegate Vote Challenged, 18th District Could Lose All GOP Delegates

by lewwaters

The fiasco known as the 2012 Clark County GOP Convention may be over, but the results of it are far from done. Irregularities and questionable delegate votes has prompted at least 2 Mitt Romney supporters, who were credentialed delegates from the earlier caucuses to challenge to delegate selection in the 18th Legislative District where Romney, who won the caucus straw poll, ended up with very few delegates, while Ron Paul who didn’t fare well in the caucus came out with the majority of delegates to the state convention.

Much finger pointing and blaming of each other followed the close of the convention that ended up with Clark County Republicans only being able to send 75 delegates and no alternates to the state convention in Tacoma, instead of the allotted 94 delegates and 94 alternates.

There is not much sense in rehashing the blame game here as from where I sit it appears everybody had a share in the blame.

Ron Paul supporters initially received much of the blame, seeing the previously announced “caucus strategy” unfold all across the state and given that he ended up with the bulk of selected delegates after doing poorly in the caucus straw poll.

Clark County GOP Chair Brandon Vick ended up accepting blame for the fiasco.
