Great News, Dwight Pelz To Step Down

by lewwaters

Just coming out from the Seattle PI, bombastic Chair of the Washington State Democrat Party, Dwight Pelz, calling it quits.

Good riddance.

Now, for Jim ‘sue your constituents to invalidate their votes’ Moeller to follow.

More Lazy C Chicanery Against Republicans

by lewwaters

Donkey kissing assAlthough the Lazy C frequently proves my blog posts right, after all, they can’t help being who and what they are, it isn’t often they run an article proving me right so quickly after being exposed.

Just this morning in the post The Stench of the Columbian addressing their continued hate fest with Sen. Don Benton, it was brought to the fore again of how they are very selective in their rants against Republicans versus Democrats and the flimsy excuses they use to justify not covering scandalous activities of Democrats.

In it, I presented copies of a Twitter exchange where Marisa Harshman and Amy Libby excused not covering a Democrat State Senator’s son arrested for rape as not newsworthy since he isn’t from Clark County.

From Self Inflicted Wounds to Turning a Blind Eye

by lewwaters

Columbian, What StoryClark County Washington is the largest county in what is considered Southwest Washington with a population nearing 450,000 people. With people often hungry for news, one would think an impartial news source would thrive catering to that population.

Unwittingly, the local newspaper of record, the Columbian, better known as the Lazy C reveals that they are considered a “mid-sized daily newspaper with a circulation between 25,001 to 65,000,” or at best less than 15% of the county.

While many reasons could be listed for such a minimal circulation in the county, partiality and lack of interest in many issues of concern has to be given attention.

While accused of being politically left and constantly denied by the Editor, it doesn’t take much looking to see that they indeed are a mouthpiece in favor of Democrats instead of an impartial source of political views.

UPDATED: The Columbian: Busted Again On Their Pro-Democrat Bias

by lewwaters

Newspaper 2For some time we conservatives have complained about the Columbian newspaper’s bias in favor of Democrats, only to be met by Editor Lou Brancaccio’s reminders of they endorsed George W. Bush in 2004 and again endorsed Mitt Romney in the 2012 Presidential election.

Never mind that they refrain from publishing articles critical of Democrats nor do they publish article with glowing praise about Republicans, Brancaccio maintains they are even handed and do not favor either side, regardless of how many times we list their bias.

Once again we see a glaring example of their pro-Democrat bias and why I often label them the “unofficial daily newsletter for the Democrat Party.”

Washington State, We Do Have A Choice For Governor: Shahram Hadian

by lewwaters

Tired of the status quo and the same old, same old every election? Fed up yet with the major political parties choosing who we may vote for? Don’t be fooled that our only choice for governor this election is Democrat Jay Inslee or Republican Rob McKenna.

Excerpts from a much longer talk given by Conservative Republican candidate for Governor of Washington, Shahram Hadian. He spoke before the We the People meeting in Clark County, November 11, 2011.

I first posted about Shahram Hadian last October, prior to actually meeting him. I have since met him twice and like who and what I see in this candidate.

As we saw just this weekend, Democrat Jay Inslee has resigned his elected position as Representative for the 1st district, leaving some 675,000 constituents who elected him to be their voice in Washington D.C. without a voice, any advocacy or representation, all so he can pursue his own personal and political gain.

Republican Rob McKenna remains in his office as attorney general, but in spite of impressions from the Washington State Republican Party, doesn’t inspire a lot of conservatives with his moderate views.

Washington State Democrat Party Chair, Dwight Pelz Shows A Disconnect

by lewwaters

If there was ever any doubt just how disconnected Democrats really are from the struggling middle class, Dwight Pelz, in his latest effort to instill fear and mislead the public in the run-up to the 2012 election shows it.
